Our people. 4C Construction has the best team available. Talent and experience, there is no substitute. Our people are the best. Yes, it’s a big claim but we have independent proof. The building industry awards and accolades we have received. Won as a result of our workmanship compared against everyone else’s workmanship. But more important than awards are our many satisfied customers who come back to us again and again. Now that’s special.
Do you build challenging projects? On difficult sites? One of a kind designs?
Yes, we love a challenge. As professionals we love nothing better than having our technical knowledge and experienced stretched. The harder the better.
What is the process of getting a home built with 4C Construction?
When a client selects 4C Construction to design and construct their home, we first arrange an informal meeting to discuss the project. Over a very good coffee we go through an overview of what you are looking for. Cost, scope, time, ect. From this first meeting we can start the process of design, budgeting and selections. This usually takes a few months of weekly meetings. This is where the fun begins, the creative process is very exciting for all involved
Design Stage:
- Starts with an informal meeting – over a coffee in a relaxed atmosphere
- Design development meetings – (multiple meetings until the design, budget & selections are finalized)
Contract Stage:
- Selections Finalized – (Our interior designers make selections easy)
- Budget Approval
- Building Contract
Construction Stage:
- Construction
- Completion – (the keys to your new home)
Does the client speak and work directly with the builder?
Yes. Claus Sievers is the primary contact throughout the design and construction
What do you, as the builder, offer customers that is special compared to other builders?
A more beautiful you… Through Peace of Mind: (Means less grey hairs & wrinkles) a perfect builder is professional and a little anal retentive to a degree… I call it… “Focused Applied Perfectionism” meaning you don’t have to worry about any part of the project, because you have a builder who is on the ball, so you can just enjoy getting exactly what you want.
Confidence… We only do a limited number of major projects per year – so we are fully focused on your home.
Certainty… Our commitment and diligence to excellence will give you a home that is built to the highest standards and stands the test of time.
Are you expensive?
No, not at all.
Staying in business for over 25 years means we are stable, professional, accurate and competitive. We are a lean & keen operation. We are very budget conscience. We have great buying power and long established relations with our suppliers and subcontractors. This means great savings passed onto you our clients.
We build luxury homes for the some of Australia’s top business people. They understand the truth of, “You get what you pay for.” And when building a luxury home that is certainly the case. Because the stakes are so high… false economy can be tempting… but sometimes saving a few dollars by choosing the wrong builder… can add many a “grief, grey hair and wrinkles”. So choose wisely… Choose 4C Construction… We’ll save you thousands on Botox alone.
Does your company have a slogan or motto?
“Do it Once, Do it Right, We Are Serious About Quality”
Specifically, why should a custom homebuyer choose you over another builder?
We are professional, long established, have a solid reputation, experienced in custom luxury homes, we care about attention to detail, are awarding winning, it’s an unbeatable combination.
But if it were me looking for a builder to build my dream home… I would have a coffee with the top 2 or 3 builders who specialize in custom luxury homes and… all things being equal, for example… if all the builders are top quality operators, their reputations are impeccable, their budget is realistic, their previous projects have won awards, ect, ect… I would select the one I felt most comfortable with. A very unscientific… personal preference choice.
Because building a custom home is such a major project. Many, many hours will be spent with owner and builder. Good communication and rapport will be key to enjoying the journey. Life’s so short, if it was me I would say, “I will be spending a ton of money and more than a year of my life building my dream home. I may as well enjoy the process.” Choosing the right people can be the difference between (heaven forbid) a nightmare… and a dream build. So choose wisely.
Have you ever won any awards for your homes?
4C Construction has won many majors awards in this region and also statewide from the Queensland Master Builders Association Housing and Construction Awards. You can be confident that all our projects are built to be award winners.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes, we carry all necessary liability and workers compensation insurance.
Are you licensed?
We have an Open Builders license.
Why should I hire a licensed builder?
The cost of buying and owning a home is probably the biggest investment made by most people in their lifetime.
Property owners therefore often look for the lowest price when looking to build or remodel a home. Since most unlicensed contractors are not insured and do not pay any unemployment compensation for their workers, liability insurance they can often under bid the licensed professional.
This bottom line may at first be attractive to the property owner, as a way to lower costs and save money. Most of the time, it is not.
Hiring a licensed builder offers many additional protections to the property owner, especially regarding residential property. First of all, a contractor can not obtain a license without possessing a minimum amount of experience and must pass a business management test. The applicant also may be subjected to criminal history background check, and must not have any unresolved contracting complaints outstanding.
